Internet Marketing


Internet marketing, also known as i-marketing, web-marketing, online-marketing or e-Marketing, ismarketing products or services via the Internet .
The Internet has brought the media to a global audience. The nature of interactive Internet marketing in terms of providing instant response and eliciting response is a unique medium quality. Internet marketing is sometimes considered in a broader scope because it not only refers to marketing on the Internet, but also includes the marketing is done through e-mail and wireless media. The management of digital customer data and electronic customer relationship management ( eCRM ) systems are also often grouped together under internet marketing.
Internet marketing ties together creative and technical aspects of the Internet, including: design, development, advertising, and sales.
Internet marketing also refers to the placement of media along different stages of customer engagement cycle through search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), banner ads on specific websites,e-mail marketing , and Web 2.0 strategies. In the year 2008 , The New York Times - working with comScore - published an initial estimate to calculate the user data collected by large Internet-based companies. Counting four types of interactions with company websites in addition to hits from advertisements served from advertising networks, the authors found the potential to collect data to the above 2500 times the average per user per month.
Business Model

Internet marketing is associated with several business models :
  • e-commerce - this is where goods are sold directly to consumers (B2C) or business (B2B) or consumer to consumer (C2C)
  • lead -based websites - an organization that produces value by acquiring sales leads from website
  • affiliate marketing - the process by which a product or service developed by one unit (e-commerce business, single person, or a combination) are sold by other active seller for the part of the profits. Entities products can provide some marketing material (sales letter, affiliate links , facility tracking) However, most affiliate marketing relationships derived from e-commerce businesses that offer affiliate programs.
  • local internet marketing - through which a small company using the Internet to find and nurture the relationship, which will be used to gain real world. local internet marketing using tools such as social media marketing , list local directories, [2] and target sales of online promotion.
  • blackhat marketing - this is a form of internet marketing that employs deceptive, abusive, or less than the correct method to redirect web traffic to your website or affiliate marketing offer. This method is sometimes include spam, cloaking the search engine results pages, or routing user to a page they did not initially request.
